Good news Jazz fans! You’re going to lose tonight! But not as much as you think, because Gordon Hayward will be back to form. After a week of empty space, The Illusionist is slated to reappear tonight, as we know well by now that Gordon Hayward’s resurfacings come only after he has achieved absolute rock bottom. Being that this last week he shot 27% from the field, 14% from three, and threw the ball into the stands more times than he rebounded it, we dare say that Hayward has reached the pinnacle of absolute nothingness. This, combined with the absence of Manu Ginobili, will make for the ultimate stage on which The Illusionist can appear before us once again. And we will applaud and throw flowers and leis and candies and things of that nature, and Rudy Gay will sing Hayward’s name from the Grizzly mountaintops, and whence the final buzzer sounds he will be gone once again. But for tonight, San Antonio beware.
Will Gordon Hayward crap the bed tonight?
